Summit Dog Company is a partnership of friends that spans across the globe with a shared mission of providing dogs with healthy, safe, and high quality products. Inspired by the bonds of dogs and their human companions and the natural beauty of the Himalayan countryside – Summit Dog Company is proud to introduce a healthy long-lasting treat many adventurers have enjoyed for generations in the Himalayas: churpi – a traditional yak milk cheese.

We hope that our team’s combined experience, knowledge and reputation for quality will provide you with peace of mind knowing your dog will receive great enjoyment from our safe and healthy chews.

Meet the Summit Dog Co. Team

Mike Merfeld – Mike grew up with miniature schnauzers and has had a passion for dogs all his life. He brings tremendous experience in process-building and organizational development to Summit Dog Company and is Co-Founder of 2 Dogs Treats. An alumnus of Marquette University and originally from La Crosse, Wisconsin, Mike remains an avid Packers fan and has been known to make his husband and dogs wear Packers’ jerseys on game day.

Christian, Co-Founder Summit Dog Company

Christian Merfeld – Christian is a native New Englander and grew up in the Boston area. He is Co-Founder of 2 Dogs Treats in addition to being one of the founding partners of Summit Dog Company, both organizations focused on the health and well-being of dogs and the local community. Christian has developed partnerships with animal rescue organizations across the country with a mission to promote adoption of shelter animals wherever possible. He is also an alumnus of Brandeis University and now resides in Dorchester MA with his husband, three dogs, and two cats.

Diesel the Adventure Dog, Summit Dog Chew

Diesel the Adventure Dog – Meet Diesel, Summit Dog Chew’s fifth team member and muse! After being rescued from an animal shelter in Seattle, WA, Diesel now lives a life of adventure and has tromped around plenty of Washington trails. He is known by many as “Diesel the Adventure Dog” and has no intentions of slowing down anytime soon. You can tell by the twinkle in his eyes and ear-to-ear grin that he is one lucky pup who truly loves life and being outdoors.
